Diagnosis: Dhee vibramam

Clinical Notes:

Most parents suspect something is wrong when the time the child is 18 months old and consult doctor at 2 years.

Children with autism typically have difficulties in:

1. Pretend play

2. Social interactions

3. Verbal and nonverbal communication

Some children with autism become normal before age 1 or 2 and then suddenly regress and lose language or social skills they had previously gained.

1. Abnormal movements:

2. Communication problems

3. Reduced Social interaction

4. Abnormal Response to sensory information

5. Solitary Play

6. Short attention behavior

Investigation:

1. Gilliam Autism Rating Scale

2. Childhood Autism rating Scale (CARS)

Medicines recommended

1. Dhanadanayanadi kasayam 2 tsp added with 4 tsp lukewarm water and Vachadi tab 1 all together to be taken in morning empty stomach & in evening 6PM

2. Saraswatarishtam+ Aravindasavam 15 ml added with Gopichandnadi tab 1 at noon and night after food.

3. Mahatpanchagavya gritam ½ tsp+ Ashta churnam ½ tsp + honey 2 tsp taken at night bed time followed by a cup of boiled water

4. Dasapushpa tailam to be applied on the head and do gentle massage before bath

5. Mahanarayanam tailam +Sahacharadi tailam +Balaswagandhadi kuzhambu to be applied on the body and do gentle massage before bath

Food recommended:

Pure vegetarian food is advised because mental disorders are after effects of our deeds in past life.

In order to reduce karmadosha Ayurveda prescribes only vegetarian food for autism

Yogic Exercises recommended:

1. Activate the patient with passive exercises like suryanamaskaara.

This yoga will help to improve the concentration of the child

The patient need to take the medication for 28 days as prescribed. Within 14 days of Panchakarma treatment we can see the difference in the behavioral attitude of the child
